Linda Hankins-Owner of the first KISRA-built house

Guidance is provided to Kanawha County residents that want to achieve the American Dream of homeownership. Our focus is on low and moderate-income families and we provide Budget Evaluation & Counseling, Credit Counseling, Homebuyer Education, Housing Counseling, Mortgage Profiling, and Home Construction services.  As much as $30,000 in down payment assistance is also provided to families that qualify.

KISRA is certified by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide housing counseling services.  KISRA is also designated as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) through the Mayor’s Office of Economic and Community Development (MOECD) and a correspondent lender with the WV Housing Development Fund.  We are committed to promoting homeownership to all segments of the population regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, and disability. We advertise our services via brochures, post cards, fliers, and cable bulletin boards to all of the community.
